Right to rapid diagnosis and treatment guarantee
If you are waiting for diagnosis or treatment in the public healthcare system and the waiting time exceeds 30 days, you have the right to use Privathospitalet Mølholm through the extended free hospital choice scheme (udvidet frit sygehusvalg).
Free patient advisory service
Din Patientguide ("Your Patient Guide") is a free patient advisory service, established in collaboration with the Danish Health Authority (Sundhedsstyrelsen). Here, you can get help understanding your rights and options within the healthcare system, as well as easy access to relevant information.
You can file a complaint about a treatment
If you wish to file a complaint about the professional treatment you received or a violation of your patient rights, you can find information on how to do so on the website of the Danish Agency for Patient Complaints (Styrelsen for Patientklager). You are also welcome to contact us if you need assistance.
Compensation
All patients are covered by a compensation scheme in the event of injury related to treatment at public or private hospitals. It is the Danish Patient Compensation Association (Patienterstatningen) that ensures patients receive the compensation they are entitled to.
Adverse events
Every day, many people interact with the Danish healthcare system. Most of the time, everything goes well, but unfortunately, adverse events or errors do sometimes occur. In order to learn from these and help prevent them in the future, patients and relatives have the opportunity to report adverse events to the Danish Patient Safety Authority (Styrelsen for Patientsikkerhed).
