What our patients say
"I am extremely satisfied with my treatment. I had an ablation, and nothing was left to chance. I was seen almost immediately and was able to go home the very same day. I was quite nervous on beforehand, but a nurse managed to put me at ease and made me feel safe. With humor and a twinkle in her eye, I was handed over to an equally competent doctor. He walked me through the treatment, and I felt completely at ease with the ablation."
AF-CARE: New guidelines for the treatment of atrial fibrillation
Preventing atrial fibrillation, avoiding blood clots, receiving the best treatment and follow-up care are the four key topics when discussing atrial fibrillation. This is the background to 'AF-CARE', which Jacob and I discuss in this webinar.
Rhythm Doctor Webinar: Atrial appendage closure as an alternative
Every year, 3,000 people in Denmark have a stroke due to a blood clot in the brain caused by atrial fibrillation. While many of these cases can be prevented with blood-thinning medication, this is not the best solution for everyone. In this webinar, cardiologists Jacob Pontoppidan and Peter Steen Hansen discuss alternatives to blood-thinning medication.

You don’t need to. We always carry out a scan to be sure there is no clotted blood in the atria or the atrial appendage. However, you will need to take blood-thinner for three months after the ablation.
No, you must continue to take your medication before, during and after the ablation. If there are any changes, you will be notified.
