Orthopaedic surgery, with knee surgery as sub speciality comprises surgery on the musculoskeletal system (bones, joints, muscles, tendons, nerves, etc.).

At Private Hospital Molholm, our experienced specialists perform most types of knee surgery, including

the treatment of knee injuries as well as knee replacement surgery, whether total knee replacement or partial knee replacement (Oxford knee)
the treatment of various sports and athletic injuries cruciate knee ligament injuries, injuries as a result of accidents, illness, wear, etc.

Examinations in connection with and treatment of the above are carried out by e.g. endoscopy or minimally-invasive surgery.

Private Hospital Molholm has very advanced and modern equipment for endoscopic surgery on knee joints.
By way of example, knee joint arthroscopy in the case of meniscal lesion or suspected meniscal lesion may be mentioned, or knee replacement surgery (total or partial replacement).

An increasing number of surgeries are carried out with brief admissions or on an out-patient basis. It is important that you are mobilised very quickly, so that you may return to your day-to-day life without experiencing too much pain.
Your rehabilitation is started by the physiotherapists at Private Hospital Molholm as soon as possible after your surgery and continues post-discharge in collaboration with your general medical practitioner and local hospital.
